What Are Nexus Mods Collections?

Collections are curated mod lists created by the community. Instead of installing 50 mods one by one, you click "Add Collection" and Vortex installs everything — mods, patches, load order, and configuration — automatically.

Think of them as "mod packs" or "modding playlists." Someone does the hard work of testing compatibility and building a stable setup. You get the result in one click.

How to Install a Collection

  1. Install Vortex — Collections only work with Vortex for now.
  2. Go to discovermods Collections or Nexus Mods Collections tab
  3. Find a collection you like — check ratings, downloads, and description
  4. Click "Add to Vortex"
  5. Vortex handles the rest — downloads, installs, resolves conflicts, sorts load order
⚠️ Important

Collections require a Nexus Mods Premium account for automatic downloads. Free accounts can still use collections but must click "Download" for each mod manually.

Found a perfect mod setup? Share it as a collection:

  1. Build your mod list in Vortex with all patches and custom rules
  2. Click "Create Collection" in Vortex
  3. Add a title, description, and category
  4. Publish — your collection is now available for others to install in one click
